State of the Union & Letter of Intent 2023
Read or watch the annual September address of the president of the Commission to the European Parliament setting out the achievements of the past year and the priorities for the coming years. The speech is accompanied by a 'letter of intent' to the president of the EP and the presidency of the Council triggering discussions on joint priorities (see EU Agenda: Joint declaration of the EP, Council and Commission on legislative priorities for 2023-2024).
